THE FUTURE OF BEARFOOT

Our major long term goal is to manage a black box venue in Newcastle (tentatively called ‘The Cave’) which remains open during the week as a safe haven for youth, the queer community and anyone with passion to create in a judgement free environment. At The Cave we will hold classes (devising, directing, design etc), rehearsals, performances, readings, workshops and devising sessions. We will constantly be generating new work, providing funded opportunities for all of our creatives and making a space for everyone to tell their story- even if the theatre world isn’t their usual environment.

Bearfoot will be a home for anyone who needs it.

It’s not going to happen overnight and we’re realistic with our goals. But with your support, time and patience, this dream can become a reality.
